We’re now asking anyone who wants to join us on this amazing trip to start confirming their interest as we will have limited availability.

You can come for as many days within this period as you like, but I’d highly recommend being there on:
👉 October 21st – Shintaro’s MAIN harvest day for the big koi 🐟🔥
We’ll also have another group crossing over that day, so it will be a super special experience.
Flying back on the 22nd would be ideal.

🏨 Accommodation & Costs (approximate):
* Hotel: Around £55 per night (will double check for October — I think it was closer to £75 last season, but I’ll confirm)
* Train to the mountains: Around £110 return
* Flights: Around £900–£1,000 return if booked early (can rise to £1,500 later)
* Fly to Tokyo NRT – highly recommended
* Food is very reasonable: Evening meals + drinks around £15.
🏡 During the day we may even be lucky enough to be invited into Shintaro’s home for home-cooked meals - and trust me, they’re AMAZING!

Flights - these will be booked by you, we will let you know our flight details nearer the time but from experience people like to find their own deal, choose their airport and type of flights. We usually fly into Tokyo NRT.
Accommodation - The hotel will be booked for you the payment will be made by you upon checkout.
Train - This can be paid at the station on arrival by you. No need to pre book.
Car Hire - We will arrange car hire and would ask that you contribute to this on a per day basis once you know how many days you will be travelling with us.
A standard day - a meet time is usually arranged each morning, we travel together as a group. At the end of the day we return to the hotel to freshen up. We usually eat out as a group, but you are also welcome to use this time as you prefer, relax or explore.
